Wondering what experience people have had printing nylon in a FlashForge Creator Pro? What temps/speeds/etc do you usually print with?

I know there are multiple grades of Nylon as well. I’m planning to make some gears for a friend of mine. They are pretty heavy duty, so curious what grade nylon filament you might recommend that is strong and rigid?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Strong and Rigid?

A Nylon 6 variant or blend like: Ion Nylon, any Carbon Fiber Nylon, Breathe3DP Nylon, Most Weed Eater line is more of a nylon 12 but you could use some of them.

The FFCP has that PFTE tube in the nozzle which I’d against operating at above 245C or with Carbon Fiber.

I just recently printing some Inland’s branded Nylon from MicroCenter. People say this is really Esun filament that is rebranded. Anyway, I was able to print it successfully. Not sure what the max safe temps are for the FFCP but I printed it at 250c. My part was thin and even with a brim added, it didn’t adhere to the print surface so I used some glue stick and also moved the bed a hair closer to the nozzle by adjusting all 3 screws. Print was a success.

Prolonged operation on a FFCP with PTFE tubes at or above 235-240 will damage them. You will want to check the often. Good to google it and read up to avoid unpleasant surprises!
