None of motors heatbed and extruder heating works

Hello friends;

I am begginer of 3-D printers and i have built Prusa Mendel Iteration 2. With very big hope, i tried to work it but the result is nothing. My arduino connects the my computer. It gets all signal from my computer but it doesn’t direct signal to motors, heatbed, and extruder. I am using 20A 480W power supply. My stepper motor is working in 1.7A (model no is 4401). So, according to you, where the problem is? I get crazy for days just because of this problem…

Is the power supply plugged into the wall? Is the power supply plugged into the RAMPS board?

Hi,

What controller are you using? I would start off by checking all the wiring and then the voltages with a multimeter. Then you can check the thermisters (measure resistance) and the endstops (resistance when open and when closed). There are Gcode commands that you can type in to switch the extruder on and off, to check the status of the endstops and to turn the bed on and off. Unfortunately I don’t have the codes right now, but you can Google it.

I think we need more info. Like what frimware u using. and the print program. Is the G-code correct? Are there functions that work?

When i connect RAMPS to computer by Repetier firmware connection is done successfully but when i give a order for motors, the signal lamp is blinking but there is no motion on motors. Also i want to start to heat heatbed and extruder, and the initial temperature can be seen on the Repetier screen but there is not temperature increasing. I checked all cables but if you want i can send the RAMPS photo. I hope these informations can help to find solution.

i am using repetier host and slic3r. I uploaded “sprinter.pde” to my arduino. I don’t use any G-code. I try to control in manual mode. As i know, G-code is needed just for parts that you print or i am wrong. ıf i am wrong please tell me what should i do about G-codes. I am waiting your reply. Thanks in advance.

What control board are you using it sounds like you may not have put power to both 12v locations on your ramps board

He’s from Turkey - the Amsterdam thing is that default 3DHubs thing that puts all new accounts into “Amsterdam”. Annoying thing!

This may be an obvious thing to those more familiar with these, but 20A at 480 W comes to 24V, not 12V. Just curious. As others said, I’d check for power at the board inputs.

Are you sure your endstops all are connected correctly. If you plug them in the wrong way or wire the wrongly the short out and nothing works any more.

Sencond question do you have a screen connected to your printer?
