So I started a hub here about a month ago and Im still not getting any business. How do I compete with other hubs in my area. And what more can I do to make my hub more attractive to potential customers? Thanks
More material and color options are a plus. Most common colors I’ve noticed people order are black, white, blue. For me green gets ordered a lot on and off 3d hubs.
I recommend investing in a photo booth or making one. Your pictures of your prints are very dark which doesn’t make them interesting to look at. When customers are searching for hubs the prints on your front page show up in the search. Try to take more flattering photos and put those images at the top of your gallery that way they can interest in the search engine and get people to click on your hub at least.
A common trick I see on 3d hubs is that new hubs will set their prices a little lower than the other hubs in their area. Once they get a few customers they will bump their prices back up to what they want them to be.
Another thing you can do is use social media. Post prints on twitter and instagram and link back to your hub.
Other than that patience is key. 3d printing is still a young industry and not everyone is aware of 3dhubs. You can’t expect instant customers, you need to market yourself on and offline to attract customers.

Just making a hub page doesn’t guarantee that orders will come rolling in. Your area might be over-saturated with hubs or not as much demand in the area.
I didn’t get orders right away on my hub when I started. But the ones I did I made sure to do the best job I could and earn repeat business. Some weeks you may get no orders and then the next week be swamped wondering how you are going to complete it on time.
You also need to look at what is in your area and try to offer something others don’t to stand out in the crowd. All of your customers aren’t going to come to you. You need to put an effort in to finding customers also.

agree with the other assessments, also make sure you offer more materials, colors and different resolutions…
Great Advice. Thanks so much for responding.
