Today we announce no less than 5 new, highly discounted, exclusive Hub perks on 3D Hubs!

Next to the existing Colorfabb offer, the new deals will include filament from Proto-Pasta and Madesolid, buildplate sheets from Buildtak, the Astrobox for cloud 3D printing, and the extruder from Filabot. If you’re interested, simply check out the perks on your dashboard.

For those of you who don’t know about the Perks program, here’s a quick explanation of how it works:

All activated Hubs get 10% discount on Perks they quality for, the discount goes up as you handle more orders, below is quick overview that shows the current breakdown:

The new partners offer a wide variety of goods that will help you in your everyday Hub life. Here’s a quick profile sketch on each of them:

Proto-pasta

A line of exotic 3D printer filaments specially engineered for performance and printability on small, FDM 3D printers. High performing, high quality 3D printer filament.

Colorfabb

Colorfabb’s goal is to supply the community with the highest quality filament possible, while supporting the development of desktop 3D printers by sharing knowledge on plastics and additives.

Madesolid

MadeSolid is all about highly advanced materials that are easily applicable for 3D printing, making materials for both FDM and SLA. The “use in space” kind off stuff.

Buildtak (Ultimaker 2 only)

BuildTak is a thin, durable plastic sheet that adheres to the print bed. It provides an optimal printing surface, while allowing for a clean, easy removal of completed builds. Who needs blue tape nowadays? ;p

AstroPrint

Filabot

Filabot aims to change how the world uses plastic. Their functional little extruder allows you to extrude your very own filament from failed prints right inside your home. Nice!

Is the Buildtak discount only for EU? I don’t see that one on my perks page. I LOVE Buildtak! I’ve been using that stuff for over a year.

Hey @ it’s the only Perk that is limited to Ultimaker 2’s as we’re testing the demand for it before extending to other printers. The reason for this is that we made a custom 3D Hubs version together with /Buildtag.

Thanks for negotiating these discounts, Filemon. I’m sure they’ll come in very useful for those hubs in London who are classified as “Professionals”. What?? There aren’t ANY?? Even the Mayor’s hub is only classified as “Intermediate”?! In 3DHubs’ 3rd largest city?? Hmmm. Maybe it’s worth re-thinking the classification boundaries.

Also, it’s too bad I can’t use the Colorfabb discount at one of their US Distributors (my favorite is PrintedSolid.com). If I have to order from the EU, the shipping outweighs the discount! So sad…

Oh and you mentionned they are only for Ultimaker 2, is it also for the Go? (i would be interested for the Go not for the UM2)

Currently using the 165mm x 165mm (6.5" x 6.5") BuildTak board with PLA and have to say it’s one of the best things to print on. But be careful if you’re using it - you have to adjust your height REALLY exactly. If the extruder hits the plate just once you can throw it away.
