Hey everyone!
I know most of the new printers or upgrades focus on printing quality, but I’ve tweaking with my Prusa i3 some days and I would like to make it as silent as possible, as I’d like to have it right by my side while I work.
I’d like to ask you for any upgrades or parts I’d should focus on to make it as silent as possible. Fans? Bearings? Extrusion system? NASA stepper motors? Drivers for the Ramps?
Also, does anyone know which is the most silent 3D printer available? I know the ones that are enclosed are less noisy, but maybe there’s a ninja noise-level 3D printer I haven’t heard of.
and just to finish, I’ll say that I’m talking about FDM 3D printers, we all know how SLA printers are super cool and quiet.

SilentStepStick - TMC2100 Stepper Motor Driver you could use these stepper motor drivers and put some chair scratch pads to dampen the vibration

I’m honestly not quite sure what some of the parts you listed actually are, but I do know two things. One, fans are SUPER loud! And two, stepper motors make a really annoying noise. So if I were you, I would focus on the stepper motors and fans.
As for the quietest FDM printer, I know the Flashforge Dreamer is super quiet! I’ve watched some videos of the Dreamer, and it sounds, well, dreamy!
So, I hope this helps! I don’t really know much about quiet 3D Printers, but I tried to help best I could.

Fans are one of the big problems. In my case, I have one fan for the electronics, which must be on, and one layer fan which is normally on. The funny thing is that the cooling fan starts at 0% power, and it’s not until 1mm height that it reaches 100% power, so I don’t really feel it’s noisy until it finished printing, when I say “Holy sheep, that was louder than a bullzoder”.
I’ll look for some quiet fans and also some blower designs that reduce the noise or at least keep it at the same level.
Just saw some comparison videos and just WOW! These drivers make the difference! They are expensive, but I may give them a chance soon.
I have some sound dampeners printed with flexible filament, and vibration is not a problem, but it can always be improved. I will check the fans (fans and the blower design), bearings and vibrations. I will also try some 1/32 drivers, and if I the printer is still a little bit noisy I’ll probably get some SilentStepStick drivers.

I’ve been going through this with my printer.
My recommendations are, easiest first:
Lower the current to your stepper motors
Replace 1/16 stepping with 1/32
Replace drivers with silent stepsticks
Replace 1.8 degree steppers with 0.9 degree steppers
Use lower speed fans
Enclose the whole printer
I’ve gotten up to the stage of replacing the 1/16 drivers with 1/32, and lowering their current. This has made a big difference, and now the fans are the noisiest things on my printer. I’m going to concentrate on that next.

Hello friend, we are for wiiboox 3d printer. Our printer is enclosed but 4 way accessible. Also there is air filtration system in the printer. So the noise is much lower than other ordinary printers. I believe most 3D printers use a 50mm fan and that this is usually the loudest part on the machine.
Fyo, the Flashforge Dreamer is one of the most loudest printers. It is a good printer but not silent.
