Hey Guys, I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the Mcor Arke full color paper 3D Printer?? Is it a good printer and are the end products strong? Also where could you buy it? We have contacted Mcor several times and have gotten no response. Does anyone know the price? Also aside from this printer are there any good full color 3D Printers like this one that are affordable?

I got to play with one at RAPID conference in Orlando last year. I can’t comment much on what it would be like to actually run one of these, as I only got to see it in action in their controlled environment, but the parts it was putting out were definitely impressive. Most other full color technologies I’m aware of are not very functional materials (powder, binder, dye/ink). Whatever binder they use on the paper in the MCOR produces a very rigid, smooth, glossy finish. They were making a lot of claims, including water tight containers. The objects all look clear coated, in other words the color is below the surface because it colors the paper underneath, not the clear binder.
If you need full color on parts that are not brittle, it might be the only game in town.

Unfortunately, that article is way out of date, and had the price quoted incorrectly, anyway. The price when announced at CES in January, 2016 was set at £5995, or $8995.
Since the announcement, Conor and the team at Mcor decided to delay production in order to incorporate a number of improvements and enhancements to the ARKe before it shipped to consumers. The new features necessitated that Mcor raise the price of the ARKe to $17,995. So your list price for a ARKe is around $18k, plus you have shipping, installation and training, extended warranty, etc., so you’re looking at about $22-25k all in.

We are reseller for Mcor in Germany and we are still waiting for our Demo-Machine. We will answer as soo we have tested it. The printouts with their “old” machine IRIS are strong and woodlike and the color is impressive.
Regarding our contacts with Mcor, they are in the final testing stage of the serial machines.

Hi, any update on the MCor Arke availability and pricing? Or at the very least, anyone here has sold the printer or about to offer print results in MCor Arke (maybe in a couple of months from now)? Very curious to see the final result. We tested MCor Iris and are generally quite disappointed in the resulting color of the part when compared to a PJ6600 result (same file). It is really strong though. The Arke’s result looks to be much better than the Iris.
It was originally advertised to be $5995. Several months later the price jumped to $8995 and pre-orders were being taken for it. I contacted the midwest distributor to pre-order and he told me they raised the price to $17995… I never placed the order.
But even if we have the money now, it’s nowhere to be seen. Haven’t seen 1 single post about success prints other than the ones straight off MCor’s itself. If regular users can put out those kinda prints, it’s still cheaper than getting a PJ6600. But with a much stronger material.
