Hi All,
I have a series of issues I am seeing and I would like comments on these if you recognise the issues!
I believe I am seeing underextrusion , over heating of material, and/or retraction issues…
When i print multiple parts two things happen…
First when the head goes from one part to the next melted material comes out and deposits on teh side of the part the head is moving to.
Secondly, once there it under extrudes for about an inch and then seems to go back to extruding accurately. This happens throughout he parts and very consistently.
Any ideas?
Sounds like a problem with heat creep. Insufficient cooling of the heat brake will allow the plastic outside the melt chamber to become soft and or liquid. When this happens gravity takes over and the plastic will continue to ooze during travel movements and increasing retraction length will not solve the problem and can lead to serious clogs.
You can try decreasing print temps to minimize the issue, but the solution is better heat brake cooling to reduce the transition zone.
Idea - provide more relevant information such as slicer, material, temps, speeds etc. pics can be helpful. We can make guesses all day long but that really is a waste of everyone’s time and it doesn’t help you by just trying random things…
Idea - take the 1.2 seconds it took to read the message and divide it by the time it took to write a sarcastic little quip. That’ll give you your dip index… interestingly it’s very likely yo be close to your capacity to offer meaningful help. …tiny!
Seriously? Someone takes the time to actually read your post and let you know you provided no meaningful info and you are just going to ridicule them? I guess you really don’t want any help. Good luck.
