Has anyone been to the Atlanta Maker Faire? Is it worth the haul out to Decatur?
Yes, and yes! It is going to be great!

I haven’t been but will be there this year as a participant. Not for 3D printing but as part of the Drone Racing Club Challenge Race. I will be running the FPVLive.tv broadcast tent and streaming the race. From what the organizers tell us there will be 40K folks there over the two days. I have talked to some people that have been in the past and they seemed to be pretty excited to go this year.

Well it will be big for sure - I’m going to exhibit and the weather will be great - free tickets if you get them online

Yes I participated last year in a booth for 3D Printing and I have never been as busy at an event as I was at the MF. We have a booth again this year and I anticipate that this year’s event will be even more crowded. So plan for extra time to park and know that you will be dealing with crowds. Its a great time though!

Is that a 3D Hubs booth or for the company you work for?
My company, 3D Printing Tech, 365 14th Street, Atlanta, GA 30318. Thanks for asking!

I suppose that depends on how far “the haul” is but in general I’d say yes… Last year was the first year we were a full Faire and it was great, bound to be even better this year. Be sure to come by The MakerStation booth and say hi
We’ll have a booth showcasing the THIRST MATE™, an unsinkable drink float that we invented and prototyped last year and is now going into production. We have our 3D printed prototypes from version MK1-MK7 as well as our final Injection molded parts. We also have lots of 3D printed THIRST MATES to check out too. Stop by and hear the story! Booth F31 in the middle of the football field.
