Just get Simplify 3D and never look back

Yes I agree. I actually paid for Simplify3D and it is worth it.

Simplify3D all the way. You’ll never look back to free slicers. You get two licenses for your $140 for two different computers. Well worth it.

Also if you just got the Flashforge Dreamer I recommend getting a glass bed that you can remove…

Yea the free software from flashforge sucks but they do offer a new slicing software on there website for $150.00 haven’t gotten it yet tho but want to try it. Which one are you using???

It would be nice if Simplify3D had a demo. I would like to give it a go before forking up the cash.

I moved to Simplify3D quite quickly - because of the manual supports so you can fine-tune how an object prints, but I didn’t try any other software… Are there any free equivalents - so I can work on a second computer from time to time?

I have been using the FlashForge Dreamer Slicer every day since October. I had some issues with the early version which were corrected in the later versions. I am currently using the latest version without any issues.

I just LOVE simplify 3D. But my second choice, to keep as much advanced options as possible, would be for Repetier-host.

Agreed. But I toke the risk and I was never dissapointed.

Another vote for Simplify3D. Worth every penny. Im sure one of us would be happy to slice a file for you for demonstration purposes. It takes less than a minute to slice a file.

As everyone else here said, I moved to Simplify3D and never looked back. I did use Slic3r for awhile before that though, and it is very feature-heavy and good, but it still just doesn’t compare to S3D

I have used Makerbot software, Slic3r, Replicator and Cura. By far the best one to use in my opinion is Simplify 3D Software. It will cost you $150 for a license. You might be able to get similar results without purchasing Simplify 3D and instead setting up a different slicer and try adjusting the settings. But I would be your going to like the results you’ll get with Simplify 3D.

Another note and how I justified the cost. The software is only 10% the cost of the machine. The less than a minute slicing time will save you tons of time over the long run. If your time is valuable, stop using free software.

simplyfy3d on my dreamer is a match made in plastic heaven

+1 to simplify 3d

Flashprint offers 3 different slicers. Which one are you having trouble with and what is the issue?

I can confirm, Simplify3D is great. I purchased it some month ago and it works very good.

I am more then happy to fork up the cash if it is worth it. Would some one mine slicing a file to see the different in gcode; by the way thanks all for the response as well.

One of the best thing’s about S3D that I think is worth the cost itself, is how fast it slice’s file’s. You can slice a huge file in no time, and if there is anything at all you want to change (which happens all the time) after looking at the preview, it doesn’t take a hour to re-slice the file. Just seconds.

All the other great feature’s are just a bonus to me after the slicing speed. I still would recommend trying out Slic3r for a few print’s just to see what it’s like. It’s free, so nothing to lose. Good luck!
