I am looking for a printer that is open source, very reliable, very low failure rate, high resolution, decent speed, a 20x20x20 print area or bigger, and able to print LOTS of materials, including nylon, abs, petg, pet, pett, carbon fiber pla/abs, and maybe even delrin/POM. Heated bed is a must, dual extrusion isn’t much of a big deal though.
I was originally thinking of a rostock max v3, since it has high print quality, and is bigger than the flashforge creator pro.
However
Looking at the 3D printer trends for july, I saw that the kossel was cheaper, prints better, and is easier to put a heated bed on it, more rigid, more accurate, and easier to increase the build volume. The only problem is that I don’t have the experience to build my own, but have no idea what kit to buy.
Then again, should I go with the flashforge, or something like it?

I have 2 Flashforge creator pro’s 2016 and a QIDI Tech-1. I like both machines.

Bought the Original Prusa i3 MK2 when it was released, pre ordered it. Though it was strange that none of the “big guys” in the community reviewed it. Finally Tom got one and after that the 3d printing nerd as well, and they both were blown away. Best printer you can buy today probably, also compared to high-end printers.

At 845 USD as a kit (walk in the park to assemble it), with auto mesh bed leveling, PEI print surface, E3D V6 Full metal hotend, big print volume, cold corners compensation there’s simply nothing else beating it at this point

(Dumb question) there is a heated bed correct?
How reliable would you say that it is?
Then again ANYTHING is probably ridiculously reliable in my perspective. My school uses makerbot replicator 2 (generation 5) printers. Not only are they horrible to begin with, there only 5 and about 100 students are using them. The amount of money the school has spent on extruders is unreal.
But have you had any issues with failed prints or weird stuff it may do?
(EDIT) just watched the video. It is safe to say that I have found my printer.
I will make some modifications though. Like a fan for the psu, closed chamber, and heated chamber. I may end up getting my freind to machine some aluminum corners for me down the road, but other than that, my printer has been found.
