Do you know what kind of project is this for? If he wants to print it in pure metal, it is quite a challenge to find a printer like that. If he aims for metally-like material you should sort out the Hub selection by material like Stainless steel or Copperfill , Brassfill or similar
thanks arnoldas - that’s what i’m finding. i found 1 hub he maybe able to use – was hoping i was missing something and you guys would know what it was - lol.
You can check out Shapeways, local to you. They have all sorts of fun lasers machines that can sinter all sorts of fun materials. Like steel, titanium, aluminum. Only problem, fun = $$
If you need full metel 3D printing and not just a polymer you need someone with a laser sintering machine which fhands said there was one in your area. Otherwise you can upload your design at shapeways.com and they can print a model in stainless steel. Fair warning, it is extremely expensive. My suggestion is to print your model in plastic from a hub on here in your area and spray paint it silver if you just want that look. If you need a part to be strong like stainless steel, there should be a hub in your area that can print in kevlar or carbon fiber. You can also spray paint those parts silver if needed.
Not sure if metal printers available in NYC, but I use some on east cost.
Commercial printing use bronze and stainless steel compound with best price and properties. I can give you a qoute in couple days, but for parts
lead time is 3 weeks. I have samples
of this technologies in Jersey city, if like to see it.
It’s not actually in New York, however @nocom13 has done some awesome metal prints. Maybe he can help you out
hey @fhands , did you manage to find someone that can help? cheers
