This Canadian-made printer prints in PLA and PLA/PHA. These are our most affordable printers.

Original Prusa i3 MK3
The Prusa i3 MK3 is a versatile 3D printer that can print in any thermoplastic, including nylon and polycarbonate.

Formlabs Form 2
The Form 2 uses stereolithography (SLA) and digital light processing (DLP) to create extremely high-resolution prints in a variety of resins, including clear, flexible, castable and ceramic materials.

Stratasys Fortus 450
The Fortus is a versatile printer that can print production-grade thermoplastics. The Fortus can also print a soluble support structure that allows it to print otherwise impossible structures.

Markforged Mark II
The Mark Two uses a unique continuous fiber reinforcement to create end-use strong parts.

Projet CJP 660 Pro

I’m a design engineer in Vancouver, Canada who’s had a hub on 3D Hubs for several years and quickly turned into a level 4 “Professional” according to their metrics. Friction Fit models is an architectural model and design prototyping firm headquartered in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We design and build physical media for developers, marketers,and design professionals. We have spent 20 years assisting our clients develop their sketches to working prototypes, drawings to physical models and ideas to lucid communication.

We also love helping our clients to win competitions, host competitions, sell homes, and sell retail space.

We do any size jobs from quickly carved sketches from balsa and softwoods, to 10 square meter mechanized models, custom furniture, industrial design prototypes and anything in between.

We use a Form2 SLA 3d printer, a Shaper Origin CNC and also do small format laser etching. These services are all backed by a full wood working facility and an electronics lab for arduino, LED lighting and Raspberry Pi integrations.

We can help you take your idea from a verbal description or concept right to a working prototype. Or, you can bring us your CAD drawing and we can process it in the material of your choice.
