Dose anyone else feel theirs a lot less work out their? Maybe it’s just my location of Vancouver, B.C. It’s seems after Xmas the work just stopped coming in.
On the other hand I’ve never seen so many 3d printers for sale on crags or ebay.

It’s been really burst-y at our hub. Nothing for weeks, and then 2-3 jobs will pop up, then quiet again. Not sure if maybe there’s some sort of queue we cycle through in terms of being promoted?

Hey guys, here’s a thread with some tips on how to improve your Hub’s activity and receive more orders: Talk Manufacturing | Hubs. Hope this helps

Nope… I see it more often and honestly we do not know why this happens… Will get back when we find out, but there seems some sort of “natural cycle”

Hey @MotionMachines! We’ll let you know what we find out about the “waves and troughs” , but in the interim please do share your prints with us via Twitter tagging 3DHubs_US and we’ll be sure to share. Also feel free to drop me an email (nikki@3dhubs.com) and we can have a bit of a brainstorm.

We’ve been experiencing the very same cycle, a week or two of nothing and then usually 2-3 jobs within 1 or 2 days, it’s always 2-3 jobs. This cycle has been going on for at least a year now. We’re in Vancouver BC.
Personally, I find that if I rely on just 3DHubs to bring in customers I am waiting for the main stream media to run a story on it (positive or negative).
I always stress that getting out into your local community is far more important. Visit your local businesses and try to hold meetups or intro workshops. Admittedly, this method requires you to “give it away” a little at first in the form of samples, but word of mouth travels fast these days. You need to create your market in order to service it.
