Right now the goal is to introduce 3d printing into KSU, it’s used but not to the capacity it could be used at. I’m trying to not only spread the word of the wonders of 3d printing but the great services all the Atlanta Hubs have to offer.

If you don’t mind me asking, what is your major?
Im currently doing business management. I am a 3D printing advocate on the side though. Check out one of my printing videos on youtube if you are interested. www.youtube.com/user/BAKmovies

Interesting, I have seen your earlier videos about the Da Vinci unboxing, how is the printer treating you now?
It is still a good printer, I am excited to use the printers over at the Marietta campus though now that the campuses have merged. They have some really nice printers available to the students.
Yeah, some of the departments have very nice Stratasys machines but unless you are student having work printed for a class it is very expensive. I know to use the Architecture department’s Makerbot 2x’s you have to be a student with your own spoil, (PS. after using them for a year I will never buy a Makerbot.) and they soon will have uPrint se Plus’s but like the Makerbots you must supply your own spoil. The Engineering department has many Stratasys’s but unless its for a class project they charge an arm and leg for a print job because you have know where else to go.
This is why I am very happy to be the Ambassador for the school so students can find that printing does not have to cost an arm and a leg.
PLEASE do let this discourage you from going and talking to these wonderful people that run the Engineering shop, I would still go talk to them because they are well educated in 3d printing and try to work with you.
You have some pretty nice videos there, @jsnsmith567 ! Be sure to share some here on Talk as well. Cheers
