every time i have a print with supports i get a very poor first layer and it looks like the filament isnt connecting and this just started happening in the last couple months does any one know why this is happening?

What filament are you using?
What temperature settings have you got?
What is the bed material?

what is the Z distance for support? 0.2 should be good
i am using hatchbox black pla 1.75MM
i have tried multiple heats from 180-210
aluminium heating bed
I use a plastic build plate that gives great adhesion and easy removal.
What temperature is your build plate?
it is at 60 degrees but im not having an issue with adhesion just an issue where my support material meets the actual part

increase the speed, fan speed, decrease temperature
ok i will give that a shot today! I will keep this updated once i try!
