Hi,

I’ll soon receive a Form 2 and I’m getting ready for use.

This mean I need some IPA alcohol for the finishing.

Problem is, here in switzerland it doesn’t seems to be a common thing, tried a couple pharmacies / drug stores but they didn’t knew what it was.

Same issue with diy stores.

Does somebody from Switzerland know where to source it ? Or what is the name of it here ? (I tried alcool isopropylique, isopropanol) or what can it be replaced with ?

Hi,

I wouldn’t go to a pharmacy, it will cost way too much for a small amount.

Try and buy a 25L container at a Reagent online. That should last you over a year for moderate use. In the UK that would set you back about £80/100

We use 99% alcohol content.

Thanks,

James

Hi ,

I ordered IPA for my Form 2 at Amazon:

6 x 1 L Isopropanol 99,9% - VERSANDKOSTENFREI - frisch abgefüllt in der praktischen 1 L Flasche

von Höfer Chemie® 18

Winfried

Hi all, thanks a lot for the answers!

Höfer Chemie doesn’t ship to Switzerland (contacted them direclty via email yesterday :), idem from amazon)

ReAgent ships only to UK.

The only seller I’ve found is this (on amazon DE) : Amazon.de

I can get 10 liters for around 55 euros, including shipping, sound great, what do you think ?

The only apparent problem is that it comes in non marked bottles, so you’re not really sure it’s pure IPA…

Hello,

You can find isopropyl alcohol at this address : Alcool Isopropylique 1L (location in Valenciennes near Lille)

Payment and delivery by chronpost. It is a serious site very reactive.

Good ptinting with your Form 2. This is the best printer.

Regads,

Isopropanol Alkohol

My best luck with getting it at a good price was actually going to local hardware stores.
