Hi,
I would like to know if anyone has tried ICE filament 2.85mm in an UM2 and which settings did he use.
Right now I tried it with 210º-100%flow-2.85mm but it’s not feeding properly.
I would like to know if it is the material settings or if any of the parts is broken.
Thanks
Marc
I have used it, the clear filaments are good but the colored filaments aren’t so good for the machine.
Had a lot of clogged nozzles with it because they use to much color dye in the filament.
The polymere itself is stronger then regular PLA. The ABS of ICE filament is very good.
I had good results with a nozzle of 1mm @ 210°c @ a speed of 50 and 80 % infill for smaller objects
For a smaller nozzle 0,4 @ 190°c i had also good results. and a speed of 50 and lower the speed of outer and inner shell speed by 1/2
But still if you’re printing with a standaard nozzle I wouldn’t risk it due te clogged nozzle issue.
Never had that issue with ColorFAbb.

Hi Marc
I’m using White PLA right now on my UM2. Print temp is 215, bed is 60 and feed rate is 60mm/sec on a 0.4 nozzle. The extrusion rate is at 0.93 using S3D and infill is at 20%.
It’s been printing like a dream at the moment but it could be your PTFE coupler if your having feeding problems?

I worked quite well for me. I was printing with a 0.6mm nozzle. Temperature was 230º due to increased flow, due to the higher nozzle size and layer height which was 0.35mm.
I haven tried yet with a 0.4 mm nozzle and lower layer heights.
I will try everything you told me on Monday and post the results, thank you guys!

Hallo
I had some problems with the filament of ICE.
But all difficulties are solved by a temp of 220°C, heated bed of 70°C, a nozzle of 0,4mm and a flow of 108%
