will try to get better pics of marvin but the autofocus is a PITA right now

you might lower the layer height just a bit to get more definition. better quality pictures are a MUST. You might be over extruding, but its hard to tell from those pictures. You seem to have good bridging on the top loop tho so be sure to not tune that out when you make other corrections.
1. higher quality pictures
2. check extrusion
3. good bridging
4. smaller layer height for better definition
good luck!
2) a single wall test (ie where the wall is as thin as the nozzle) tells me that its extruding precise as it should. the wall is 0.4mm thick in stl file and it comes out as 0.4mm when i put the calipers on it… and my nozzle is a 0.4mm one
1) i know… i just have a shitty samsung cam and i tried another phone… they seem to have trouble doing the focus on white… will retry in the pinkish filament
3) just added some more pics where i did a temp calibration and it seems that i should lower my temp a bit to get a bit more bridging, the trouble with cura and cura_engine is that there are not seperate bridge settings.
4)the print was done in 0.3mm so will try and do one in 0.2
my settings (export from repetier host):
almost got the perfect marvin when compared to the stl
just found out that my 40mm fan is not enough so in process of designing an adapter for my blower fan
Really need a run down on settings. Speed, temps, material, printer, slicer. Hard to recommend with knowing where things are at.
You are off to a good start! Active cooling with PLA is a must.
Print several marvins at a time, so that there is an opportunity for each layer to cool.
Mess with your temps until you have less “melty” looking prints.
Print marvin at a large layer height. Once everything is dialed in, lower your layer height for your final marvin submission.
When you get the marvin and create your Marvin order, communicate with 3dhubs just like they are a real customer. Let them know progress, show a picture before it gets shown as “shipped”, etc.
BTW, if you have not set up your hub, do so now. It takes up to a month in some cases to get your address verified with them.
Good luck.
i did post link to settings
