Well, there’s nobody here just yet, but anyway…
Hey there! I’m glad you found us. That must mean you’re interested in Tinkerplay and good for you!! What a terrific idea it is! It may be starting quite small but it only takes a glance in the technology crystal ball to realise that this may just be the start of something really big. Of course, right now, there’s a limited number of available arms, torsos and other components, so a tinkerplayer can only choose from around a hundred million combinations of components, colours and textures but imagine what it’ll be like if the idea catches on and tinkerers are designing their own parts and accessories, sharing them and building legions of 3D printed models. This IS just the start!
In case you’re wondering, I’m Andy. I didn’t develop Tinkerplay. I don’t work for Autodesk or 3DHubs. I simply think it’s a brilliant idea and I 3D print “Tinks” in my workshop North of London, England. It’s called The Potato Shed, hence my hub name; Pot8oSH3D .
So! Whoever you are and why ever you’re here, you’re very welcome. Please introduce yourself and let’s get this party started!
Cheers!

@Krumbacher did you start designing parts for Tinkerplay robots? Curious to see what you came up with if you tinkered with some Tinkerplay compatible designs!

What do you want t delete?
I only designed one part so far…but I’ve got a few ideas
This one has a spigot that fits into most of the holes in the parts. - Those holes are just crying out to have accessories fitted into them! Everything from armour to roller-skates come to mind.
Then there’s extras that fit on using the ball-and-socket joints. I was thinking I’d design a velociraptor claw first.
Any other ideas, guys??
Cheers!

Just got started on my velociraptor claw. Thought I’d use Tinkercad, just to make it easy and, wouldn’t ya know it, there’s a whole bunch of Tinkerplay-compatible bits an’ bobs in the library!! Looks like it’s gonna be a late night!

And here it is! Forgot to turn on the active cooling for the first few mm so it’s not exactly perfect but, hey. Ya get the idea. The plasticine is an addition by one of my guinea pig clients.

Oooh! Good idea! A pintail with working wheels and don’t forget spigots for the feet!
Oh! And printable on its side, so we can make it stripey!

Not too much to ask, is it??
Cheers!

ps: You can forget the working wheels, so long as we can print them in another colour!
