Morning all,

Happy Turkey Day. Thought I’d throw this one out there. I have a Robo3d R1 with a hexagon hotend. Was a mk10. It broke and they sent me a replacement (not sure if mk10 or 11) but it didnt have a boot on it to insulate it. I recently upgraded my cooling system and now the downwash kills my prints.

Anyone know where I can get a new boot for the hotend?

I had that crazy boot issue for the longest time. I realized that without the boot, the control board would overload with the heat seemingly getting ported back to the board. I replaced the pitiful fan that is cooling the board with an 80mm fan and raised the printer with boots for proper airflow. The boot issue went away immediately. Also, a blower fan works better than the stock fan for cooling the part. Basically, the whole printer works better with a few modifications. But you cant be afraid of modding.
