So I just joined, like 2 minutes ago and I need help. This is because I want to print some minifigures because it saves time and money instead of buying the minifigures and assembling them. But I don’t know how to message the person I want to 3d print my stuff, and how do I get the right microns for a 53mm minifigures?

Yes, the site is still new and they are constantly trying to make improvements(which we appreciate) and the latest round of “improvements” were a little heavy handed. In an effort to streamline checkout they have created a catch-22 situation. You cannot discus creating an order until you already have an order. You need a direct link to their hub page to message them, which is no longer displayed. If you do a google search for “(name of hub) 3d hubs” it will probably come up. From there you can send the hub a message and discuss your project. We’re hoping this is just temporary.
Hope that helps.

Best bet for doing minifigs, that I can’t really see much of here but I assume have some tiny details, is to find someone with at least a Formlabs Form 1/1+. Not that I like saying this due to some of the things @arkahl mentioned but looking into an HD hub might be a good place to start.
Some FDM(makerbots, ultimately, etc.) machines will be able to do something on the scale but SLA(Formlabs) or a SLS(HD service) will always be better.
Also so like already, I hope you already have the .stl files because that is the only way you will be able to contact anyone.

Morning,
I’ve got a great printer (blowing my own trumpet). I can have a look at the files if you have them. Not sure how you go about sending a message I’m afraid.
Hey Mazin,
If you don’t mind sharing an example of your files then I would suggest adding the file to this thread so that we could look at it and let you know what type of machines you should be looking at to print your minifigures.
To message a hub directly go the the hub’s page (browse local hubs and then view this hub) eg https://www.3dhubs.com/london/hubs/burnt-product and then click on contact this hub.
Cheers,
Marc
Here is a picture I took many moons ago, it shows the different layer heights of .3 then .2 and .1 http://i.imgur.com/LoO9aEe.jpg
Hopefully that gives you a good idea of the quality differences between layer heights. A good comparison is a single sheet of A4 paper is 0.1mm.
I would concur with the other posters here that looking for someone that does HD or uses a resin printer will more than likely give you the best quality for a small print like that.
Hi
I could help you out with the printing if you have the stl files available, as we have an Envisiontec printer ideal for these mini figures.
