Hi @russellbig37,
I don’t own a CTC printer but, i the themperature is related to the material.
So for PLA i advise 200-220 C° and for ABS 230-235 C°
See this thread for more information.
its my first printer and it don’t seem to be giving me good prints there very wispy and very ruff

Can you send us some images and your print settings?
I pretty sure the 3dHubs community will give you a flying start with this.
I have a ctc, pla seemed to print better for me at around 225c, maybe that was due to difference in reading to actual temp. Abs between 230 to 235c printed nicely as well. If it prints very rough, you might be over extruding and the nozzle is dragging. In thingiverse I put a model and instruction on calibrating the nozzle if you’re using maker ware and proftweak. Search ctc nozzle calibration.
Every filament brand or typ has different printing temp. I print my pla with 205 and abs with 240.
For PLA 210 seems to be the norm for most.
I’m using 230°C for pla @ 65°C bed temp with relativ fast printing speeds (60-70mm/s) and 240-245 °C for abs @ 110°C bed temp
Hi, 205°C - 225°C for PLA it is depending on the manufactor of the filament. At the Moment, i have no experience with ABS, sorry.
first of all ctc 3d printer’s are very bad quality always problem with extruder i will never advise any one to buy
PLA 200°C
ABS 230°C
that i found the best.
