I recently replaced the heater block and when I attempt to preheat my right extruder my printer says the left extruder is preheating but it isnt. I have it set up so the right extruder is the only on to preheat. The correct extruder is preheating but the printer shows that extruder as the left one and not the right one.
Are you sure you plugged the heater into the right socket on the mothrboard? If it says left is heating but the you’re suppose to heat right, then you plugged the heater in the wrong location.
This is a very dangerous situation. You have an uncontrolled heater situation and these printers can melt the aluminum heating block causing a fire. One kilo of abs plastic has more energy then 1 gallon of gasoline. You have the wires for left and right crossed. You are heating a block not connected to the proper thermocouple.
