If so, we want to hear from you.
We are a group of students from the University of Chicago conducting research on the emerging 3D printing marketplace. As part of our study, we are looking for anyone who has paid to have a product 3D printed within the last 18 months to participate in an online survey.
We will share the results of our findings with all participants meeting the criteria above.
Respondents who opt for and are selected to participate in additional interviews will earn a $25 Amazon gift card as a way to say thank you.
Please share if you think it would help us achieve our goal and thank you.

Hi Joseph! I haven’t paid for any printing, but I have 20 months undermy belt of specific file constructions for your survey- that’s a whole story by itself!
Johnny
Filled out. The first file i ordered was a phone case.
Would love to hear more about that.
OK, Back while we ( IMSI) were beta testing for Vesion 7 Turbo CAD Mac, ( a Solidworks engine) we recieved a post from a fella @ Turbo CAD Mac forum, that they had D Loaded TCP, but had no time to learn.I offered my assistance, as I was getting ‘pretty decent’ in my specialty, Aircraft type stuff. At the time, I was making 15 bucks an hour as a machinist, and we agreed @ 30 bucks ( 2hrs.) per print/STL file, with 3 revisions within this cost. I began recieving parts via Mail/UPS etc,and
beganbegan ‘Reverse Engineering’ beginning with about 4hrs per print,we had great success (PLA, Rep2’(s) they run 3 now, and the last couple jobs were pretty involved!

I did not get a survey, although I signed up. All I got was an ad to have something 3D printed. You can send me the survey at giraffe@giraffe.com, if you are interested. I am a professional digital sculptor who has had 3D prints done of my work for
over five years. http://www.giraffe.com/gr\_sculpture.html.
Hi Giraffe,
You should get access to the survey by clicking on the blue text in the original post. Let me know if that doesn’t work. There should be no one trying to sell anything.
I’ve got a ton of questions. This medium may not be most effective though. My email is Joe.Greer at ChicagoBooth dot edu.
I’ve gotten 6 mailer deamons as now, yahoo is reading Joe.Greer as joelGreer!
All done, Joe. A good survey. I’ll be interested to see the results.
Cheers!

Need to get to statistical significance
First, a big thank you to the 3DHubs.com community for participation in our survey last week. We could use the community’s help to extend our reach and get us closer to a statistically significant sample size.
Click here to access our survey. (Must have paid to have something 3D printed within the past 18 months to participate)
Although are data can only be categorized as anecdotal at this time, we have captured some interesting trends. Once again, here are the benefits of participating:
1. All participants will gain access to the collected data
2. 8 to 10 willing participants who are selected for further interviews will win a $25 Amazon gift card.
3. You feel awesome for contributing to broadening our human knowledge.

Drat… meant to submit this as a new post.
Hi Joe,
Tweeted and reposted on a couple of other forums.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our survey. We got 62 responses in total and a great deal of information. If you participated in the survey and provided your email address, you should have gotten a copy of the survey results (sans personal information).
We’ve not yet chosen the people who we plan to interview, but this will be made known in the coming weeks.
Once again, thank you 3DHubs community for your support!
