Wow. Yours look super awesome as well!

Pretty much just a polish (example: http://www.instructables.com/id/Polishing-Badly-Tarnished-Brass/step2/Tools-and-Materials/) but some go very well with good buffer with micro-abrasives. Still trying to figure out the good shine. I just put this post up but its still not vibrant shine like yours. I think i just need to be more patient in the tumbler…lol Talk Manufacturing | Hubs

@Amortech: Your prints re looking really good too

I used a buffing wheel with micro abrasives in the last step.

Your are right patience is the most important thing with the tumbler. But the best thing is that you have to do nothing but wait  So my last attemps took 40+ hours in the tumbler.

Also different abrasives in the tumbler are making real sense.

May be we should put our knowledge together and write “the ultimate colorfabb metalfil filament polishing guide”?

Hi all. Very nice Marvins…nice post. I’ve my own pre-polish Marvins…lol 0,1mm layers, 205*C , and 24mm/s Those are made at a Hephestos with a 0,4mm nozzle. Best regards.

cool! +1

The Hephestos seems to be a good printer for the money. Are you satisfied with it?

Cheers,

Joerg

It’s a fun 3D printer to deal with. The extruder and hotend works very good…and gives no problems with the parameters. Just now I finish a filaflex print without problems. Highly recommended printer to understand the 3D world. Best regards.
