I just bought my FF dreamer yesterday and i already had problems on the first day. The print head got jammed so i took the extruder apart and took the melted plastic that was stuck out and later that day i put it back together. But since then i havent got a single good print. The pla that im trying to print just get clumpt up and gets stuck to the nozzle. Im using 50 c on the bed and 195 on the extruder so thats the recommended settings. I have even tried to turn the bed up to 70 c but it still dosent stick to the bed. I have a pic here to show what happens when i try to print. On the picture you can see pla that have clumpt up to the nozzle instead of sticking to the heated bed.

I just leveld the bed again so that should be right.

Hello, Fabian. The issues that can cause attachment problems are nozzle height, bed surface material, and bed temperature, in pretty much descending order of likelihood. For layer height, having the nozzle too close to the bed is a frequent counter-intuitive problem. After all, if it’s close to the bed, it should stick more, right? Actually, it is better to err on the side of the nozzle being obviously too high and then lower it towards the bed over a couple trials. You’re much more likely to find the sweet spot that way.
I have a Flashforge Creator but am unfamiliar with that bed material, and it is difficult to identify in the picture. Could you characterize it? Is it a type of blue tape that came with the printer? I myself use Buildtak squares on top of my bed, which gets very good results. You may also try blue painter’s tape. If the tape alone doesn’t work, you can smear the tape with a glue stick. That works like a charm.
For temperature, I use 70C for the bed, and higher-than recommended temps for the nozzle, often as high as 220C for PLA. The higher temp will accelerate clogging of the nozzle if you’re using filament with dust or other contaminants that char, but the flow characteristics will be quite good.

Get some sandpaper, about 180 grit, and give the vinyl bed sticker a good rub down. Afterwards, wipe the surface off with a damp cloth and switch the bed heat on to dry it. After this treatment, your prints should stick if you have your bed calibration correct. A good hint here is that the first layer should look squashed not so thin it’s transparent or sitting on the surface like a sausage. If the bed stops sticking again, use the sandpaper, wipe clean and dry.
Use blue painters tape (heat bed 0 c not wotk at all) and that will resolve your problem Only blue painters tape!!!

Thanks for the support, the problem is fixed and i solved it pretty easily. I tried to higher the temp on the extruder to 220c and the heated bed to 110c. It might be to hight but thats the presettings for printing with the sd card they send me with the flashforge. Im using the build tak they send with me. The leveling is set correct i think because its printing the pla with no problem in high quality. So everything is working great but should the settings rly be so high to be able to print? i havent tried to lower the build plate but that might work if i go down to 70c and keep the extruder at 220-230. Thanks for all the tips it has really helped me today. I fallowed your tip and leveled and leveled and leveled untill i finded the “sweet spot” and that did really work :). I also raised the temp on the extruder to 220c as you can see in the other post same with the bed till 110c. I raised the heated bed temp because i looked at the preinstalled settings and they used 110c. Tomorrow i will try to lower the heat on the bed and see if it still sticks if not i might have to raise it again. The thing im using on the bed is the build tak they send with me and as far as i can see after todays result it works just fine. Do you think i should lower the temp on the bed or should i keep it. Because i raised both at the same time so maybe it was just the extruder that i needed to raise the heat on. I will experiment abit and see whats best. But thanks again your tips have helped me much and now i can finally print prints and not just clumps

You’re welcome. I would recommend dropping the bed temperature to 70C. The greater temperature difference is good for phase change. It makes for sharper delineation of the strands. That’s more relevant for other materials, but you should still see a difference in PLA at the two temperatures.

I got a flashforge dreamer 8 days ago and i had similar problems . I think the key is to level the bed and to flush the nozzle first before printing. Also i found it useful to use “Raft” option when i print .

Use nozzle at 210c and bed at 60c
