Thanks for the reply

i will ill fallow your steps and try them. But now when I looked at YouTube one guy said that one of the filaments is abs is that correct? because then that might be the problem

Now I’ve tried everything you said but nothing seems to work :frowning:

I got the printer yesterday and where I brought it I have special warranty so I can get any new part I want. Do you think the extruder is broken?

It could be, can you post a picture or two with what happens when you print. Does it extrude the plastic at all through the nozzle?

If it does I doubt it will be the extruder rather more likely bed adhesion, it is a tricky thing to get right but once you have gotten the hang of it, you wonder why it took so long.

Your filament roll must specify what you’ve got, either PLA or ABS, double check on the the roll what it says, also try to post pictures or videos…

No worries, you’re doing great  Happy printing!

Sorry.

Hi again! now when I looked at the filament roll I saw that it was abs so that must have been the problem. So I changed the settings to 220 on the extruder and 105 on the bed. But it still doesn’t stick to the bed. Here’s some video and pictures.

110 is way too high for PLA, ABS runs at 110, PLA runs at 60, so why your prints are not sticking is they are not setting, if your using the Dreamer slicer then check your settings, you should be able to change from PLA to ABS and vica versa.

IF your using Replicator G, then you have to go to the code after you generate and look for 109 S110, change the 110 to 60 then save, then save to SD or print from the program

MY Flashforge runs PLA at 230 Hot end and 60 Heatbed. Everything is perfect

But the white filament on the pictures I’ve sent is abs running at 230 and 110 so should I use lower or higher settings for abs for the extruder. //Fabian

Hey Texeliez,

Look I´ve had a Dreamer for over a year now, printing on ABS is not exactly for beginners, you must be patient and keep trying, 230 is too high, keep it to the lowest probably 210 or 220 and 100 for the platform, use loads of hairspray on the platform and you must keep the printer completely closed, also don´t ever mix filament, if you want to print double color use PLA, PLA or ABS, ABS on each extruder, no filament mixing because you´ll get extruder jams, also level again, and again, and again and pull down your printing speed, and pull it up once you start getting good results, also if you have tried the sample models and they´re fine, then probably the one you are trying to print now is not as friendly as the test ones so try using a raft and support, the newest version of flashprint does verny nice support, not a great raft but the supports are quite good.

I suggest you try to get rid of that ABS and print only with PLA you´ll definitely get better prints.

The best I could say there is definitely bed level, as the setting your using are the same as my Flashforge, so I would double check the bed level.
I can usually put down a print without raft or brim with no problems of lifting off the bed.

Is your print bed leveled maybe that can cause problem and your temperature should be tinkered.

Hi Gerardo! Thanks for all the replies today, you have really saved my day and given me info that will help me a lot in the future and now. I will get rid of the abs filament for now because as you maybe can tell i am a beginner ;). I will use the information of yours and I will try to print my first successfully thing. Thank you again //Fabian

Hi austweb! I really appreciate all the support today and information you have given me. It has helped a lot for now and for the future  I hope you have an nice evening and hopefully when I get as good as you I can maybe help you with something  //Fabian

Thanks for the help today Colin and now I know why the tips didn’t work. I used the wrong material as dumb as I am but I can blame it on a beginner mistake. I’m sry if I confused you before but I will defiantly use your tips thanks again //Fabian

Haha great maybe Isent the right word but thanks anyways

If you’re printing PLA, you don’t want to heat the bed. Take a look over the article, and good luck! How To Succeed When 3D Printing With PLA Filament | MatterHackers

Ok i will try that thanks!

Same here the print just clumbs up without heat

The strangest thing of all is that the preprint or what you should call it when it goes in a straight line works great but then when it starts to print it clumbs up together like a ball on the nozzle
