Hi all!
I got got my flashforge dreamer today and i already have some problems. My right extruder got Jammed so i took it apart and when i tried to drag the pla out of the extruder it didnt work and then i noticed there where melted plastic whats should i do?
Hi,
1) try with forcing high heat: You should reassemble, and preheat at the very high temperature, 260° or more. most clogging would be fixed with that. If you can run filament manually, then problem solved.
2) Check other methods here: http://www.thebigspool.com/3d-printing-learning-page/clean-clogged-extruder-nozzle/
it seems to me you have to remove it of course.
I own a Dreamer myself. Try and use the unload feature, and see if you can force it out. If that doesn’t work pull off the cap ontop of the two extruders. You want to load the jammed extruder and get a good grip on the filament you’re feeding in. Once it’s loading you want to push as hard down as you can, that should push the filament through.

Try to clean the nozzle and the sleeve using Drano drain cleanner, this dissolve the PLA.
Thanks for all the replies. The problem is fixed i took the extruder apart and with an sharp knife i losend the melted plastic that was blocking the filament to come out. But know i have an second problem. When i try to print normal pla it dosent stick to the bed. The heat on the extruder is 230 and the bed is at 110 but i can print preinstalled things on the sd card but when i try to print things from eg thingsgiverse and go trough the flashforge program and uses the same settings as before it dosent stick and i need to stop the print. But also the left print head grabs the printed pla and moves it around. Is there any solution for this?
1. Make sure the bed is level
2. When removing or changing filament do a filament LOAD first let some filament run then do an UNLOAD
3. PLA: 205/60; ABS:230/110
4. To facilitate sticking get extra hold hair spray in the purple can. Give the bed a light spray while it is cold, about a 1 to 2 second spray. As the bed heats, give it another 1 to 2 second spray.
5. The FF bed comes with Kapton tapeon the bed. You can spray on the tape. When the tape gets damaged you can remove it and spray directly on the bed.
Heat the extruder to 260’ for five minutes and then try feeding the material.
Hello
I had this when I first used the Blue PLA that comes with the FlashForge.
First, I thought I must take the nozzle off, which was not helpfull at all.
Solution that actually worked: I set the preheating of the nozzle to more that PLA needs, up tp 230, then performed Filament Loading on that nozzle.
At the beggining it seemed unsuccessful. Then I picked the nozzle’s hole while it is 230 degrees hot, I picked it with a metal brush, and tried to have one of the metal hairs go inside the hole, from the bottom of the nozzle. This is without taking and part off.
It actually worked !
Hope this helps.

Hey the print temperature for pla is 210°c and the build plate 70 or 80, thats the reason for, you part doesn’t stick to the plattform
