I previously owned a Printrbot Simple Metal printer but after a series of issues with jams, print head connections, auto-leveling, etc. I’ve decided to move on to a little more advanced printer. I have a reasonably tight budget as I would like to avoid spending more than $1,500. I discovered the FlashForge Creator Pro which had everything I wanted in a printer and a reasonably low price at $1,350. After further research I also discovered the PowerSpec 3D Pro which appears to be the exact same printer for almost half the price at only $800. This whole thing seemed a little strange to me as I could find little to no information from anyone really about this PowerSpec printer.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

I don’t know the PowerSpec myself. But I would indeed recommend the 3D Printer buyers guide as put forward by @gabriela3d
Don’t know about the PowerSpec specifically, but there are a lot of MakerBot clones around under various names and with different stages of mostly cosmetic changes.
They do generally work, although not always 100% reliably, but you can get decent results if you’re fine with adjusting and modifying it here and there.
They’re using the MakerBot file format (.x3g), which means you have to use MakerWare or ReplicatorG (or spend the extra money for a somewhat better slicer named Simplify3D, which should also be able to export the format iirc).
I had first a,3d-touch trio. For 2 years a huge price And high running costs, i had to install heated bed And after 2 years 1 problem after the other.So i went for the makerbot 2xl(2800€), after 2 days the screen And sd carxd reader broke. Thanks to good service it workt back after 2 weeks. Now i buyd a wanhao 4s, same concept (makerbot clone) And the builds are better, faster And there where a lot off spareparts in the box at a price all includes 800€. Hope it works well.

I have had a FlashForge Dreamer since October 2014. I have been running it everyday since.
I print mostly with PLA with a lot of success.
I print mostly at .1mm layer height at slow to medium speed 30mm to 60mm.
My two Repraps that I built sit idle because of the time it took to keep them running. I am too busy printing and designing to fix the Repraps.
The Dreamer is a Thumbs Up.
