I think its been only two weeks since we’ve got this printer and I am happy to report that the spool of filament that we’ve received is finished. Here’re the results.
There are some test prints and Marvins missing from the picture, but it is pretty much how much you can print with a 1 kg spool however some of the prints are pretty massive over here.
The main learning so far - This printer is a great device for people to effortlessly print non overly complex models one after another.
Best practices on printing Marvin:
The best one I’ve got was with standard settings , but with medium quality. A raft is necessary and the Marvin should be facing the other way ( so 180°).
The big vase took about 24 hours to print and is huge! Apart of prints not sticking to the buildplate or printing in the air a few times, once it started to print none of them failed.
Also, most of them were printed with the exact same settings: the standard settings provided by the manufacturers.
I’ve got one at home. It actually prints quite good. But mainly, there’s no fuss around it. I once had a clogged nozzle, and the be3D support was extremely helpful. The prints you’ve done look great. Is it the original DeeGreen filament?
Hey @Thamminedi_Saga awesome to hear that you’ve liked it. It was really cool how effortlessly these prints came out. All I had to do was find a model and put it in.
btw, Please share some of your prints as well when you’re done! Curious to get some ideas
On purpose I did not want to change the filament until I finish the whole spool of the filament that they shipped us! So everything went really well. The problem now was that I put a new filament and it got jammed as well. But this was totally my fault… Had to be more careful on what I put in. They very clearly state to only put regular PLA in there ^^ Hope we’ll be able to fix it today
Great collection of prints Arnie! Impressive to see how much you can print with a single spool. So I guess the million dollar question is: What’s next for you and the Be3D?
Let’s hope so. My nozzle had to be replaced, but once again the customer support was really helpful – I got a new one real quick (granted, both me and be3D are based in Prague), and had it replaced with a guidance. I wouldn’t attempt to do it myself without assistance though as it can be rather tricky.
Well I am not printing ver intensly, but wheever I thought of something i just put it in this ‘oven’. So in general i think it took me 2 weeks of part time printing. The huge vase for example printed for 24 hours. The marvin mold did over night. (For vase i used high resolution
