Hi all,
I received my first order on 3d hubs and i’m exited to jump into it.
But… it might also include some modeling and that is totally new for me!
What programs to use to create a STL file to print for this:
A 3 sided piramid that consists of 5 layers and should be able to turn around an axis (like a pole or something).
So it would be 6 parts to print or all at once.
Anyone who can point me in the right direction?

Hi there, you can use free software like autodesk’s 123D or tinkercad. If you don’t have the time to work yourself into the CAD software (which shouldn’t take very long), then I could model the parts for you for free. Didn’t realise you were a charity worker, Marius.
I’ll have to bear that in mind in case I need any 3D modelling done!

Well modeling a splitted pyramid with a cylinder inside isn’t such a difficult job for me, but for someone that never worked with CAD software this might take hours. As this is his first order, I’d like to give him a nice start

Ya mean you’re not gonna do free work for me?? Aww :-/
I would recommend learning how to use CAD as part of your 3D printing hub, a good basic engineering know how is also desirable! so crack open those engineering text books! lol.

Created some testmodel now and even got it printed
Now i need it to be trigonal so not 4 corners but 3 and i need to get it to 5 layers…
