Hey everyone, I have a flashforge Creator pro 2016 model(ffcp), and my printer stopped printing in the middle of the print, I tried multiple things, but I finally resulted in taking off the fan of the printer and foun the filament was stripped and was stuck, I could not get the filament out. Can somebody please tell me how to fix my primter? I have attached a picture of what it looks like.

Hi @ANDM_IN_3D is there still filament passing into the hot end? Have you tried simply depressing the release lever (to the left of your photo)?
If it’s still stuck, you’ll need to take that assembly apart. It’s not hard, just do it carefully. Search online and you’ll find a lot of sites and videos showing you the steps.
disassemble extruder and pull filament out.

Maybe check the Teflon tube that fits into the nozzle, sometimes they get a bit burnt and the hole closes up, making the Filament Stick and not go thru.
Heat up the nozzle to working temp before you remove it, you’ll see the Teflon usually comes out with the nozzle, well it does every time with mt FF.
The Teflon is 35mm long.
I’m not saying that this is the fix, but it could be.
It is the only problem I have had in 2 years with my Flashforge Creator Pro & it runs every day of the week.
Take Care, have fun.
Two screws removes the plate above the stepper motor, remove these and the plate, remove the stepper and extruder as one piece, you should have a bigt of filament left out. I know the first reaction is to pull the filamanent out, that is wrong. Use load left filament option in the menu to heat the nozzel, when it comes to temperature, push the filament down into the nozzle about a quarter of an inch, then pull it out - I always use needle nose plyers.
The reason you do it this way is sometimes the filament melts in such a way that it makes a small blob of filament in the tube, pushing it down first in a neated nozzle will melt this blob, making it easy to remove.
take your extruder parts off the stepper motor. You need to do this to clean your stepper gear with a toothbrush.
heat the extruder, and see if you can manually push filament through. If you can, pull the filament out. Problem solved.
If you cannot push the filament through, then you have a clog, likely caused because its time to replace your PTFE liner, but could be something else.
In this case, while the extruder is hot, unscrew the nozzle. Be careful to use pliers or a wrench to hold the heater block while you do this, or you will mess up the wires that run to your board from your heater block, and you will have a very bad problem.
Unscrew the nozzle, and pull the ptfe liner out. See if you can see what is causing the clog. You should have recieved an extra ptfe liner with your printer spare parts, if it needs replaced.
Hey everyone, I have finnaly been able to work on my printer, and I tried releasing the lever, and pushing in the filament while it was heated up, and a little smoke or dust came out, and the grinded filament came right out. Thank you everyone. I am now disassembling the extruder to clean of the stepper motor.
