Hi, Im looking for a 3d printer for less than 250$ and the Anet A8/A6, both look like a good buy. On Gearbest there is like a 15$ between Eu and Us versions for the Anet a8/a6, does anyone know what the exact differences between the two versions are, is it just the cable or is the powersupply different?
And, does anyone know why it cost 3 times as much to ship the a6 compared to the a8, I live in norway btw.
i bought a A6 a few months ago. it runs ok but you need to print very slow or like i did replace the nozzle with a larger one to allow for a greater flow rate
its probably the best printer you can buy for that price but it has a few issues you need to workaround.
the power supply is the same for EU and US but the us power cables might need to be thicker to deliver twice the current at half the voltage.
and this is just speculation on my part but the A6 is no longer made in favor of the A8 so if you order a A6 it might be a leftover is a random faraway warehouse.
The A6 and A8 are very similar both having a few known issues that will need sorting out (there are some groups on facebook that will help you out hugely), as far as the difference between US and EU on gear best it is just the supplied cable / plug adaptor they send (the psu is the same with a switch on to select the voltage input). I personally recommend wiring the correct plug directly to the lead if it wrong as the adaptors are unsafe.
hi the power supply has a switch that give the possibility to chose the input voltage, so i say that the difference is only on the cable and plug that you must link to PS
