I thought this was a very old issue that was resolved already but it seems not.
Sometimes there are parts where you have to recalculate material and pricing.
After changing it, you accept the order so it can be paid.
But what happens next is that the customer uploads a completely different file and quickly pays for the order.
Why isn’t the status of the order but back to review?!

That actually never really happened to me but usually if the model consumes around the same amount of material I don’t try to recalculate the price but instead let them pay what they originally paid for the model (I do that because of the margins I have).
Although if the models are completely different and consume a lot more than the old one I just warn the customer that they will have to pay a bit more due to the amount of filament it uses.
That means they will have to do a second payment(and you have to check everything constantly).
A customer should not be allowed to change anything in the order once you accepted it. If they want to change anything, the order should be reviewed again before they can make the payment.

Yeah - the original issue was that after a Hub has click “Accept” the customer can still change options, prices, models etc and then pay, without any mechanism to stop them. After payment no-one can change anything on the order. The requested solution was to lock the order down after the Hub has clicked “accept”, but I guess this never got sorted?? It is a major major flaw in the system which should have some priority to it? Since being made aware I always check the payment and figures match what I originally saw, but this is still just done from memory.

Yes, this problem is so old that it would have been fixed long ago if they had any intention of doing so.
If 3d hubs staff responds it will be to thank you for your concerns, tell you they are working on solutions, they did a test on it, “conversion rates” (ridiculous metric that they are obsessed with and base all decisions on) are better this way.

All these new added features give me more headache than really making my life easier.
I can’t rely on any of them and force me to keep checking everything.
Thanks so much @3DHubs for adding useless features with bugs and problems in it. Please first make your data, recommendations and checks reliable before adding it to the public. It’s a joke.
