Hiya
I’m printing in a blue 1.75 filament and ive noticed that my printer is printing a few lines then missing some then printing again, the layers looks messy like this, ive tried changing temperature form 215 to 220 and it does not change the quality can anybody help me why this is happening.
Ive attached a picture to show this problem.
thanks guys

is this your first print?
Looks like either the filament is dirty and halfway clogs the nozzle regularly or you’re printing too fast and the filament has not enough time to fully melt clogging up the nozzle regularly until it melts again.
Right hi guys I think it might be temps, I’m running sailfish, makerbot desktop all updated, and it does this for all prints well did, im using a new reel of blue pla exelvan. It started happening since the reel, I was normally running 210c but I tried 230 and it looked like it flowing better now with no missed lines, it was also not sticking the layers properly delaminating but also looks OK, BUT I have not tried since so may of been a fluke. Hope this helps thanks
Looks like under extrusion. Read up on and run your calibration cubes to get things set.
What temp range does the manufacturer give for the filament?
If your using excelvann try slowing the print down with the built in menus on the printer, I had the same issue with excelvann, I printed at 80% speed with a extruder temp of 221 seemed to print perfectly like that.
