Glad to be here and share some ideas that are twisting in my brains…
What if Zortrax put some carbon wires inside the abs filament in order to have structure made of carbon fibers inside an ABS or PCABS matrix?
Next,
What about a wax filament or something with a low melting temperature (let say in a range of domestic oven) in order to create a mold…
Last, what about styrene?
Wax is already available. It is called MoldLay. Need to heat up to 250 or so to empty the mold. But it seems to work.
I have ordered a sample just to test it out and also because I am trying as many different filaments I can with my new extruder. From Ninjaflex to stiff carbon fiber filaments.
As I do a lot of aluminium casting, this MoldLay sound perfect for me.
