Hi jbainesy,

Thanks for the reply, that’s a massive build area, do you charge by volume or a set amount per job?

Regards

Andrew

Cost is based on a few factors, mostly time and filament usage. Some jobs use only 250g and take 30+ hours at very fine settings, we once printed a 11kg part for a client using 2.4mm nozzle in around 12 hours so we do have to quote fairly on a job-by-job basis. While it is an industrial printer our costs are very reasonable compared to running alternative printers with closed-source filaments and the like.

Ok thanks, I’ll keep you in mind for when I need large prints done.

Cheers

Andrew

I’m sure someone can do it for you. Are you sure that 3d printing is the best solution for this job? 3D printing is great but it’s often the case that there are other ways that sometimes end up being more suitable. 360mm isn’t big, I’ve printed things that are up too 600mm(and larger) x 1275mm tall. My tip of the day is, let others take the risk. You just pay for the result.

If you need any help let me know.

The problem with professional service bureau’s remind me of the famous quote by Abraham Maslow “I suppose it is tempting, if the only tool you have is a hammer, to treat everything as if it were a nail.”

Hey Jared, thanks for the input. Moving forward, would you please use a link to your Hub profile as means of contact? People can easily contact you there for any questions or ask a quote directly. Hope this helps! Thanks
