I am getting quite a few orders these days, and would now consider myself a power user of this site. Sometimes I have a lot of orders on the go at once. It becomes hard to keep track of where I am on each order all the time, so I would like to make some suggestions on how to make orders easier to manage:
Add extra statuses for posting items, such as “awaiting shipping” and “shipped.” The generic “awaiting pickup” isn’t very helpful.
Show more information about the orders on the order page, such as the layer height, material, colour (perhaps using a swatch), delivery preference, and the deadline for the order. It would also be nice to show a preview of the model(s).
Allow sorting by all those factors on the orders page, and don’t force the page to refresh when this is done.
An indicator as to whether you have replied to the customer’s most recent comment or not. I often find myself opening lots of order pages and scrolling down to check and see whether I’m up to date. I appreciate the emails help with this, but it becomes hard to keep track of when you’re dealing with several orders at once.
Add an in-browser STL file viewer.
Detect when there are multiple objects in a file and apply any charges for multiple objects to these (I often have to add a charge because of this).
On the order pages, you can drag the size of the text box (from the bottom-right) beyond the centre part of the page. This means the text gets cut off and you can’t drag the textbox back after releasing your mouse. Please fix this.
Please let me know if these are changes you plan on making, and if so, when. If not, why not, and what do you have in mind instead? If you do have something in mind, what is it and when can this feature be expected to be implemented?

We’re aware that the way Hubs manage their orders is currently not very efficient (especially for busy Hubs like yourself) and this is very valuable feedback. We have this work on our development schedule and are looking to tackle it in the new year.
I would be keen to carry out some usability testing on it once it is ready. If you’re interested, I can get in touch when we are ready to test an updated version?

I mean the ‘my orders’ page, sorry. The swatches idea would be good though, as this would give the customer a better feel for what the actual colour of the filament is.
it would definitely be worth putting all this information on the ‘my orders’ list though, as it would make using the site a much more efficient and easier to keep track of things.

Hey @DanielDC88 thanks a lot for sharing, these are great suggestions, very well described too! Like @petervl mentioned we’re going to definitely tackle this in the coming months, we already made some mock-ups. The questions right now is whether or not we do before or after we overhaul the order page and file uploader. Once those two are improved the order overview can be made a lot better, faster and richer in content.

I am a newbie here. I have only had 2 orders but both had 6 parts each of which took 6 to 8 hours to print.
for me this would be used as a Daily Printer Startup Fee - given that I only print for about 6 hours a day.
I had one Enquiry for a job that 19 parts most of which would have taken a day to print
I would like to see a pricing option that allows me to add a fee for each part after the first that is over a particular volume.
So pricing configuration would be something like:
A. First Print Fee: $xxx
B. Subsequent Print Fee: $yyy for models over zzz cm3
This way the First Print Fee ($xxx) could account for the biggest model on the order and all other models on the order which are larger than zzz cm3 would incur a Subsequent Print Fee of $yyy
