So I’m new to 3D printing but I’m fascinated in it. I would like to know what the best 3D printer is for under 500 dollars. It can go a little bit over though.

Everyone has their opinion. I’ve heard good things about the M3D. Printrbot is another good brand. Both brands are plug’n play which is great if you are just getting into printing.

Alternatively, diy kits are usually under $500.

If DIY is no Problem then you should go with a sort of Prusa i3 Printer. They are cheap and you get quite good results… but dont go for the very cheapest one. They suck! I Spent 480€ on my HTA3D P3Stell. wich is an Prusa i3 just with a more stable steel frame. That was also my biggest sellingpoint for the printer. Dont waste your time with Acrilyc Frames. In my opinion they suck too! If DIY is a big Problem i would also go with Pritrbot. They are Smaler and have no heated bed except you geht the more expensive version but are very good printers for beginning.

Hey you should check out the 3dHubs 2016 printer guide. Best 3D Printer Guide 2023 | Hubs

It really depends on how much effort your willing to put into it, as suggested above the m3d brand micro printers Amazon.com are a good “plug and play” type set up at a decent price. I would advise that you stay away from deals that seem to be to good to be true like the CTC and other Flashforge/makerbot clones on ebay until you have some experience.

Depending on what you are looking for - check out the QIDI X-one. Good solid printer. Single extruder, heated bed and a cabinet that can be fully enclosed to make filaments like ABS easier.

Support is excellent.
