I’m am having trouble getting my pla prints to adhere to the build plate any advice?

Are you going to clue us in to what the printer is, what surface on the build plate, is it heated, what temps are you using, what slicer or do you just want us to guess.

Like mentioned, is it heated? what type of surface? I have a heated bed with glass on top. To get good adhesion i use the heated bed, and hair spray. Sometimes it sticks too well, but i would rather have that problem over loosing a print halfway through a 12+ hour print. If you use this method, after the print is finished let the bed and the part cool to prevent warping the print, and use a razor blade, (or a couple of them) to remove the print from the glass.

I have a flashforge creator pro with a heated bed no glass and I’m using blue tape for adhesion

Thats a tough one. You have to get your print head on your first layer exactly to get this setup alone to work. It takes some careful study and practice.

If you put the blue tape on, then spray it with Aquanet hairspray, heat the bed, let the hairspray harden, that will help.

I would go on amazon and get some flashforge buildtak and put it on there, to replace the tape. Thats the less expensive option, and works great with PLA. Its a consumable item, but needs replace less often.

The real pros just put a glass on top of the build plate, spray that with aquanet, and use a shim for the z axis. This is the most reliable solution. If you use borosilicate glass, you can then put the print in the freezer, and let the law of thermodynamics remove the print for you. (be careful, you are still doing some things that are kind of scary there…)

I’ll add to the suggestions that glass is a good one. On one of mine I put a PEI sheet right on the bed and that has worked out well once I got the hang of it. I also did one with a PEI sheet on the glass.
