Hi,

How do you find out the angle/inclination of a cone?
I’ve been playing around with the measurement tool but can not find out.

Hi @Andreas_58 if you know the perpendicular height and the radius, you can calculate the angles. No need for math, here’s a handy online tool:

Another trick is to draw construction lines, measure your lines rather than the object itself.

Thanks for answer, I actually tried that calculator but my cone has an open end. It’s not pointy.
Here’s a 2D-sketch showing what I’m trying to measure.

Not if your construction lines are already there. Most high end software, you can achieve the lines and measurement with about 3 clicks.

123D is quite powerful for the price ya pay
