I recently bought an Anet a6. The assembly went smoothly, but the mainboard was dead on arrival,so I replaced it with ramps1.4. I managed to get everything wired up an installed, but when the prints starts, it only prints for a few seconds. The filamant stops, non of the axis moves, the fan starts slowing down, but the printer stays on. When I reset the printer, the fans immediately start again. It makes a clicking noise, almost as if someone is trying to stop the extruder from moving, but I can manually move all of the axis with no problems.

I recorded the problem, so hopefully this can help.

If you are using Octoprint, it creates printing log. You can troubleshoot the problem from the log. The printer stops if the board thinks it can not heat up the bed or nozzle. The video does not show much. I bought a ramps 1.4 board, and I got each sensors, motors, bed and nozzle tested. I have not get a chance to replace it.
You should change the device - it has factory defects.
