I have a prism i3, I printed from the test file on the as card that came with the printer. The prints came out solid and nice. I try printing from thingiverse and they all come out the same like stitched, mesh looking. I see the printed image given with the gcode file and it looks nothing like my print. Please help
Hi there,
It sounds like your printer is underextruding, do you remember the temperature the test file was printing at, and if so, is it the same one you have set in the slier?

Hey thanks for the reply, it is at the same temperature as the test file. I’m very confused as to why it’s doing this.
I would agree with the other poster that suggested underextrusion. What slicer are you using? One of the easiest things to check would be making sure your filament diameter is set correctly in the slicer. Sometimes the default material diameter is set to 2.85mm instead of 1.75mm which will cause the machine to underextrude since it thinks it is getting more material for each extruder step.

U nailed it on the head. I changed diameter to 1.75 and prints come out very nice now. Thank u for the reply.
