I’ve assembled my first ever 3d printer. Not too much hassle all in all, but when i try to make my first print a few issues arrise. First: Limit switch Y doesn’t seem to get hit by the plate, at all. How am i supposed to place it so that it gets hit by the heating bed when it moves back?
Second problem is with the Z switch, am i not tightening it enough? The extruder just pushes down through and pops the cooling noozle off.

Thirdly, when i try to print it starts WAY off to the side, as in, it starts printing outside the heating bed. Am i supposed to move the X switch closer? It’s already on the casing for the X motor. Please advice.

Y limit should be hit by the bearing block.

is the z switch being hit as soon as the switch is thrown it should stop if not it needs readjusted if it does hit it it may be a bad switch.

the x limit switch should be mounted on the bracket as in the photo. sorry I have a sensor for my z so no pic.

My first thought if none of the switches are triggering is to re-check all of the wiring and where they are plugged in. Is a plug reversed?

In addition you could run an Ohm meter on the switch to see if it is working when depressed.

Start with the basics and work from there. Process of elimination.
