Culture at Protolabs Network
When we founded Protolabs Network, parts of our culture were there from day one, other parts have grown with us over the years. Culture is a living thing which is always evolving.
We have captured our culture in these 6 values, they are at the forefront of everything we do.
Our cultural values
We are all pragmatic makers
We own our projects till they’re done
We are all students and teachers
Our processes allow us to move faster
We create the winning user experience
Be honest, be humble
Culture Ambassadors
In order to make sure we keep in touch with our whole team across the globe, we have formed a ‘Culture Ambassadors’ program. This group is made up from different team members from all teams and locations. It helps us to understand how different people in the company relate to our culture and to provide fresh perspectives and a continuous bottom up way to keep building our culture.

Diversity & Inclusion
We don’t shy away from encouraging a diverse and inclusive culture. While we are a very diverse team by many measures, we’re continuously pushing ourselves to be aware of minorities and subtle cultural differences and build a truly inclusive workplace.
“At Protolabs Network, we don’t just accept differences — we celebrate them, we support them, and we thrive on them for the benefit of our employees, our products, and our customers. Protolabs Network is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and we do not discriminate in hiring on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, age, or other non-merit factor.” - Brian Garret, CPO & Co-Founder
Our diversity and inclusion programs
At Protolabs Network we believe that everyone should feel safe, supported and comfortable at work, no matter who you are, where you come from, or who you love.
We have held and are planning a range of programs to improve our diversity and inclusion knowledge. This includes events like our 2-day Diversity and Inclusion Seminar with internal and external speakers invited to share their knowledge and personal experiences.
In addition, we have launched LGBTIQ+ employee network and women’s network to further support these communities.
